Now that's a good question, because you will be amazed to learn that there is no real substance to the answer.........Really?? Yes 'really'! The answer is actually quite complicated and multi-faceted, so to explain it simply I am presenting some of my research from Chapter Five, Part 2 - Unveiling the Time of Jacob's Trouble. Below are some very interesting facts about our calendar that you are probably not aware of, as it possesses some rather strange anomalies that no other calendar has:
1. Our calendar is divided into two sections, 'BC' years, or 'Before Christ', and 'AD'
years, meaning 'Anno Domini' - a Latin term translating to 'in the year of our Lord'
- hence the calendar was based on Jesus' birth and it moves backwards in time
before His birth, but then forwards after.
2. The year of Jesus' birth was not 1 AD or 1 BC, but 3 - 4 BC, therefore if the calendar
was supposed to start from His birth year, it is already inaccurate by three to four
3. When it moves from 1 BC to 1 AD, there is no zero AD, which is what you would see
on a negative/positive number line, adding further confusion if you happen to be
researching dates and ages.
4. The calendar was adopted by Julius Caesar in 45 BC but the start date is 1 AD.
5. There is no start date for history BC. The earliest recorded history for written
languages from two different internet sources is 4000 – 3500 BC, and 2000
– 1500 BC, but there is no start date for the beginning of history.
From these observations of our Gregorian calendar, it cannot be determined with any certainty what year it really is, and so it is definitely not a reliable source to use as a basis for the researching of time, or even the age of the world. You may be asking yourself - "Is there anything else wrong with our calendar that also reveals its 'untrustworthiness' in the accurate recording of time" ?
My answer is "Yes, indeed!" I'll give you two more examples, the first is the names of the days of our week - have you ever wondered where they come from? Their origins are from Nordic or Scandinavian names of planets and the pagan deity that is associated with them. The ‘North-men’ from those areas invaded and conquered England in the late 8th century AD, three centuries after the withdrawal of the Roman legions and following the invasions by Germanic tribes from 449 AD. The table below reveals these Pagan origins in the names of the days of our week.
DAYS NORDIC NAMES OF PLANETS & DEITIES
Sunday Sonntag, ‘Day of the Sun’ - Sun god - Sonne
Monday Montag, ‘Day of the Moon’ - Moon god - Mone/Monath
Tuesday Tyersdag, Dienstag, ‘Day of Mars’ - Mars god - Tyr/Tuisco
Wednesday Mittwoche/Wodens/Odinstag,‘Day of Mercury’
- Mercury god - Woden/Odin
Thursday Thorsdag, ‘Day of Jupiter’ - Jupiter god - Thor
Friday Freitag, ‘Day of Venus’ - Venus god - Freiya
Saturday Sonnabend, ‘Day of Saturn’ - Saturn god - Sater
The second example is the names of our months which are also from pagan origins, the first six (marked with *) particularly, are from specific Roman deities or have Pagan links:
January * Two faced god Janus - one looks backward for the past year, the
other looks forward to the coming new year
February * Roman Pagan festival of purification Februa
March * Mars – god of war
April * Possibly from Latin verb ‘to open’ aperire, for spring
May * Maia - goddess of growth
June * Possibly goddess queen of heaven Juno
July Named after Julius Caesar, born this month
August Named after the Roman emperor Octavius Augustus
September From the Latin word for seven septem
October From the Latin word for eight octo
November From the Latin word for nine novem
December From the Latin word for ten decem
As we should know, anything that has its roots in paganism is not to be trusted and is unreliable. Our calendar is blatantly tainted by paganism and was invented by 'you know who' to keep us confused and totally in the dark about the wonderful truth in Yeshua, and therefore we can disregard the fact that it is a 'new year' and it is 2014!
So then, is there a calendar that can be trusted? Again I say "Yes indeed!" - the biblical Hebrew calendar. This particular calendar was the only one that was ordained by Yahweh, hence it is divine, and it is the only calendar which truly reflects the passing of time from Creation more accurately, and is the prophetic plan for all of history - past, present, and future.... AND therefore, is EXTREMELY important to Yahweh and should be important to those who love Him. The foundation for this calendar was laid in the Old Testament, or Tanakh, firstly by the number of days in the week - which is the pre-ordained blueprint for the time span of history; secondly by the names of specific biblical Hebrew months, thirdly by the seven biblical Jewish Feasts - which are rooted in agriculture and moon cycles, and are the complete plan for salvation history; and lastly the lights in the firmament - the sun, moon, planets, and stars - namely the constellations, zodiac, or Mazzaroth in Hebrew.
[For a detailed study on the Creation week, the biblical Hebrew months, and the Mazzaroth that teach us about Yahweh's amazing plan of history and salvation in Yeshua, please refer to Chapters Six to Eight in Part 2 - Unveiling the Time of Jacob's Trouble.]
Furthermore, the present year on the Hebrew calendar is 5774 from Creation, and the present Jewish new year began on 1 Tishri (5th September, 2013), which is the same date each year on the Jewish calendar corresponding to Sept/Oct on ours. However, there are two important things to note here:
1. Prior to the Babylonian captivity c. 586 BC, the new year always began on 1 Nisan,
6 months earlier or later, AND it has never been changed to 1 Tishri in the Bible (in
fact, the month of 'Tishri' is not even mentioned in the Bible once!), hence the
biblically correct new year is 1 Nisan, which corresponds to March/April and is the
same month containing Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread which Yeshua
fulfilled at His crucifixion and by His sinless life. The Mazzaroth of Aries, also in
those months, is the 'Lamb that was slain.' Consider, Psalm 19:1,
"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork."
2. Jewish ancestors have been recording time based on the chronology and cycles of
the Bible as calculated in the Talmud - BUT - it has been discovered that they have
been out by 220 years! Hence, the real year from Creation is:
5774 + 220 = 5994 (+/- 6 months)
And Yeshua is returning in the latter part of the year 6000, as patterned after the first
Adam on Day 6 in Genesis 2:20-25 (see Chapter Six, Part 2), so how many years is
6000/6001 - 5994 = 7 years! (inclusive of both years)
Considering the fact that the final, scheduled tetrad blood red moons due on significant Jewish feast days - the first of which is Passover on April 15 this year - don't you think that it is noteworthy of VERY CLOSE ATTENTION? These blood red moons are patterned after the same tetrads that occurred in 1949/1950 with the birth of Israel, and 1967/1968 with the Jewish regaining of Jerusalem after 2,500 years, and were extremely significant to last-days prophetic fulfillment, as will be case with the ones due soon.
[For the amazing discovery of the error from the Talmudic recording of Exodus 12:40, please refer to Chapter Ten, Part 2.]
So my Dear Reader and Truth Seeker, the true new year that matters to Yahweh is 1 Nisan, 2014, which is 1 April this year - exactly 2 weeks prior to the first blood red moon! Until then, keep your eye on Israel, and pray that more Jews and Arabs in the region discover who Yeshua truly is and call unpon His name before it is too late.
